Waitlist Opening July 18th, 2025 :

For one day only, North Coast Housing Connections (NCHC) will open their Housing Choice Voucher Program Waiting List. Applications must be completed online beginning July, 18, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. EST until 4:00 p.m. EST. Persons who are 18 years of age or older can submit entries online at www.waitlistcheck.com/OH2322 for a chance to obtain a place on the Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list via a lottery. Your entry does NOT guarantee placement on the Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list. After the waiting list closes, all entries will be placed into a lottery.

 

FAQ BELOW:

  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE ENTRY FORM? Approximately 5-15 minutes, depending on the number of family members in the household. Please be advised that the application must be completed and submitted by 4 p.m. EST on July 18, 2025.  Any applications not completed and submitted by 4 p.m. EST will not be entered into the lottery.
  • HOW CAN I ENTER THE LOTTERY? Use any computer or electronic device that has access to the internet and go to https://www.waitlistcheck.com/OH2322, or https://cityofparma-oh.gov/193/North-Coast-Housing-Connections. Be sure to have a pen and paper handy to record your confirmation number, or you can print it, when your entry is submitted.
  • IF I HAVE A JOB, CAN I STILL ENTER THE LOTTERY? You can be employed and enter the lottery.
  • CAN I SUMBIT AN ENTRY IF I WAS TERMINATED OR WITHDRAWN FROM THE PROGRAM BEFORE? If you are one of the lottery winners for the Housing Choice Voucher Program, your name will be placed on the waiting list and your eligibility will be determined at the initial interview, once your name reaches the top of the waiting list.
  • DO I NEED TO RESIDE IN CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO TO APPLY FOR THE LOTTERY? If your name is chosen as one of the lottery winners for the Housing Choice Voucher Program waitlist, you do not need to reside in Cuyahoga County. However, you will need to travel to Cuyahoga County when your name reaches the top of the waiting list for processing.
  • CAN I SUBMIT A PAPER ENTRY FOR THE LOTTERY? Only online entries will be accepted.
  • WHAT IF I DON’T OWN A COMPUTER? A family does not need to own a computer to enter the lottery. Any computer or electronic device with internet access can be used. You can also use any available computer at public locations such as public libraries.
  • WILL MY LOTTERY ENTRY QUALIFY ME FOR THE PROGRAM? After the lottery closes, NCHC will conduct a random computer draw of up to 5,000 entries for the Housing Choice Voucher Program and place them on the waiting list.
  • HOW MANY ENTRIES CAN I SUBMIT? Only one entry will be accepted per entrant.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I GO ONLINE TO ENTER THE LOTTERY BEFORE JULY 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. EST? You can visit the website for helpful information, but the entry form will not be available for completion and submission until 9:00 a.m. EST on July 18, 2025.
  • DOES IT MATTER WHEN I ENTER THE LOTTERY? No, as long as it is during the date/time of Friday, July 18, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. EST through Friday, July 18, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. EST. The order in which entries are received will not affect your chance to be selected for the waiting list or your placement on it. Every completed entry submitted according to the website’s instructions will be entered in the lottery. Selection will be based on a random computerized drawing so all applicants have an equal chance of being selected for the waiting list.
  • WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR ENTERING THE LOTTERY? Entries must be submitted no later than Friday, July 18, 2025, by 4:00 p.m. EST After that time, the website will not accept any more entries.
  • WHAT INFORMATION WILL I NEED TO COMPLETE MY ENTRY? Lottery entrants will need to provide their date of birth, social security number, address and general income information on the entry form. The entrant will also be required to include the date of birth and social security number and income information for all household members.
  • DOES MY ENTRY GUARANTEE ME A PLACE ON THE WAITING LIST? Your entry is for a chance to be placed on the waiting list if that entry is pulled in the random lottery computer drawing.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED HELP SUBMITTING MY ENTRY? Technical assistance is available by calling 216-661-2015. The hours of operation for the technical assistance number are 9:00 a.m. EST to 4:00 p.m. EST, Friday, July 18, 2025. Please note that once the lottery closes, the technical assistance staff will not be able to assist you.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM TRYING TO ENTER THE LOTTERY AND I AM A SENIOR OR A PERSON WITH A DISABILITY? Seniors and persons with disabilities may submit an on-line entry, like anyone else. If they need assistance, they can call North Coast Housing Connections at 216-661-2015 on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 9:00 am EST to 4:00 pm EST, and assistance will be provided. Persons with hearing disabilities can obtain additional assistance through the Ohio Relay line at 1-800-750-0750 for Spanish dial 1-888-269-0678.
  • HOW WILL THE LOTTERY WINNERS BE SELECTED? The winners of the lottery will be selected through a random computer draw from all the entries received during the hours of 9:00am EST to 4:00pm EST on Friday, July 18, 2025.
  • HOW MANY ENTRIES WILL BE PICKED IN THE LOTTERY? Up to 5,000 names will be selected and placed on the 2025 Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ENTRY IS SELECTED IN THE LOTTERY? NCHC will send letters to all of the winning lottery entrants advising them that their names have been placed on the 2025 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list. In addition, entrants can also access https://www.waitlistcheck.com for lottery selection.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ENTRY IS NOT PICKED AS A WINNER? If your entry is not picked in the lottery, your name cannot be placed on the Waiting List. Only lottery winners will be notified via US mail.
  • HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM A WINNER IN THE LOTTERY? The Lottery selection will take place on Monday, July 21, 2025. If your entry was chosen as one of the up to 5,000 winners for the 2025 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List, you will receive a letter in the mail. You may also check on-line at https://www.waitlistcheck.com, approximately 30-days after the closing of the lottery. Please do NOT call NCHC to see if you were selected, you will receive a letter and you can check online as noted above.
