Kanye West opened up about his love for his new family during an hour-long interview with the BBC Monday. Of course he spent most of the conversation on an egoistical rant — he compared himself to Michael Jackson and stated that he’s the world’s biggest rockstar — but after he stepped down off his high horse, he gushed about the Armenian beauty in his life.
“Family time – it’s what Kim gave me,” the rapper said about the mother of his three-month-old daughter North West. “She gave me everything. She gave me a family. She gave me a support system.”
He went on to say that he fell in love with Kim Kardashian because she had pure motives.
“She was in a powerful enough situation where she could love me without asking me for money, which is really hard for me to find,” he said.
Kanye’s attitude changed when the topic of the paparazzi came up. He explained that he wants photographers to pay for every photo they take of his daughter when she grows up.
“I’m going to tell my daughter, by the time she understands what it was, ‘Man, me and your mother were in a completely different situation than you’re in,’ “he said. “‘People could take pictures, people could climb over your fence, and you wouldn’t even get paid for it. You see all these checks that you getting at age 6 because people are taking your picture?’ … I made that happen, Nori. That’s what I’m going to tell her.”
