Kobe Wan Kenobi. KB-24. Mr. 81.
The Black Mamba.
In his NBA finale last night (4/13) Kobe Bryant erupted for 60 points in front of a sold out Staples Center in LA, a place where he’s played roughly 800 games over 20 illustrious years. It was a storybook ending for a cinematic figure, and a true representation of the player Bryant was for almost a quarter century.
In one word it was perfect. All the way down to his last declaration to his raging fans – “What can I say? Mamba out.”
Thank you, Kobe Bryant. Thank you for dedicating yourself to the game of basketball unlike any other, especially in this generation.
Watch these highlights and dedicate them to memory, we’ll never see another sports story end like this.
PS – I think the Warriors did something last night, too. Yep, I’ma hater.
