HAPPY BIRTHDAY OHIO, 214 years old!!! July 22nd kicked off Ohio’s 214th birthday celebration with a full throttle concert of Cleveland’s own including the headliner Kid Cudi. Others fellow Ohioans that hit the stage included The Funny Sound, Bravo, Tommy Johnson, Brooklyn, MGK Britni Elise and Chip Tha Ripper. If you thought a celebration of 214 years was a passionate gesture of hometown love then you didn’t see the thousands that poured out to support their own during the concert that kicks off this four day celebration.

The Ohio Homecoming is a four-day celebration of all the resources and opportunities this state has to offer. Ohio may not be as highly recognized like other states in the eastcoast and midwest but it surely has stood on it’s own before and after it’s well known Cleveland Cavaleirs King, Lebron James. This celebration highlights the wealth in this state despite the rep it may have after the media spotlight of Lebron’s Decision only weeks ago. It will combine both socially conscious and entertaining fare to raise the profile of the state, bring together various constituencies for the state’s advancement, reinvigorate the citizens to aspire to greatness, and connect them with the tools to get there.

Events include Opportunity Fair, County Executives Candidates Forum, Ohio Greek Step Show, First Annual Lee Evans Celebrity Flag Football Game, Battle of the Bands, Ohio March, Day at the Park.
