There have been numerous rumors going around about Drake leaving Young Money to sign with RocNation. For the record… it’s not true. In an interview with XXLMag.com, Drake‘s publicist said that “Drake is signed to Aspire/Young Money/Cash Money and has no plans to leave.”
Oh, but there’s more juice to this story…
Great. Now, many people are left wondering how the rumors got started in the first place…
Apparently Birdman from Cash Money Records made a statement concerning the lyrical capabilities of Jay-Z compared to Lil Wayne. To sum it up: Weezy beats Hov by a long shot and he has more money than him.
I don’t know how accurate Birdman’s analysis is about the two, but Jay soon responded…
In the song, “H.A.M.” feat Kanye West, Jay explains his position on the issue.
“People fantasize about the stuff that I do daily / like these rappers rap about all the stuff that I do really / I’m like really half a billie / you got baby money / keep it real / you ain’t got my lady money.”
WOW! As of now, Birdman has only said that his team will continue to spend baby money on his Twitter page.
