Beyonce’s Dad Tries to Clear Up Rumors that He Stole from His Daughter

Rumors have been swirling around allegations stating that Mathew Knowles was stealing from his daughter Beyoncé. If the allegations are indeed false, the perception of the scandal was not helped when the music artist and her father amicably cut business ties in March. Post split, Knowles has filed papers with the courts against his accusers at Live Nation Entertainment.

On July 14th, Knowles told the Associated Press, “We absolutely have not taken any money from Beyoncé, and all dollars will be accounted for…In no way have we stole money. Again, this about the people who have made these claims – they have to come into the light.” He suggests that the only way to get to the bottom of the controversy and have a clear understanding of what happened is to take matters to the courts.

Despite the fact that Beyoncé and her father have gone their own business ways, it appears to the public eye that their relationship is otherwise still in tact — perhaps better stated, not in shambles. The singer released a public statement saying, “He is my father for life, and I love my dad dearly…I am grateful for everything he has taught me.” On July 14th, Matthew Knowles made another public statement saying, “The relationship with Beyoncé is extremely amicable…I want to make that clear. Where there’s concern about the people that she’s doing business with, I’m challenging all of these folks on integrity, professional integrity.” Although the father and daughter make such statments, Knowles acknowledged that he had not spoken with his daughter since they split.
