AKRON, OH (WOIO) –

An Akron man tossed in jail after threatening his neighbors and fighting with cops.

Adam L. Wells threatened his neighbors with a knife as he was being arrested.

He refused to be handcuffed and fought with officers, falling on one officer and injuring the officer’s knee. Wells then got up and ran into his house. After a few minutes he came back out and officers tried to handcuff him again.

This time, as he started to pull away, officers put him down on the ground. Wells then tried to grab the officer’s gun. He was finally cuffed and taken into custody without further incident.

Wells was charged with Assault on Police Officer, Escape, Aggravated Menacing and Resisting Arrest.
