Shyne has no problem voicing his displeasure. This week alone the “Bad Boyz” has launched an attack on Rick Ross and President Barack Obama. Next up on Po’s hit list is Drake.

“What does he do? He’s an actor from Canada,” Shyne said about the YMCMB rap star during a phone interview on Monday. “So he just studied Lil Wayne, studied Kanye… he studied them and he just acts like a street kid?”

Shyne’s angst stems from Drizzy’s affiliation with Rick Ross, who he dubbed as “corny.” The exiled rapper also takes exception to some of Drake’s street-inspired lyrics, particular his “Headlines” rhyme where the he warns: “you gonna make someone around me catch a body like that.”

“These dudes couldn’t exist in the Raekwon, Ghostface era,” Shyne said of the hardened 1990s era of rap which he is a product of. “If Big and ’em was around and ‘Pac, c’mon man, they’d have these dudes for lunch.”

In 2009, Shyne was released from prison after a nearly nine year bid stemming from charges he caught from the infamous 1999 Club New York shooting, which also involved Sean “Diddy” Combs. “That’s my problem with this culture, you can say anything you want, you can promote anything you want and nobody’s held accountable, and then they’ll say that I’m hatin’,” he said. “I would really prefer Drake to sing about girls and sing about being a good kid from Canada and whatever that entails.”

Po’s opinion on Drake is surprising considering his relationship with YMCMB heads Birdman and Lil Wayne. In 2010, Shyne even revealed that he was in negotiations with the white-hot record label and last year he appeared alongside Nas, Busta Rhymes and Bun B on the “Outro” track from Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV.

Nothing ever came of the negotiations, but still Shyne refuses to bite his tongue for the sake of playing nice with Cash Money. “I don’t care about no business, man. It’s the truth,” he said before turning his attention back to Rick Ross. “When you standin’ next to the target, you get hit too … So if fat boy is his man, I’m gunning him down too.”
