Contrary to media reports, Jay-Z and Beyonce have not lost the “Blue Ivy” trademark….their application is on hold.
There’s still a good chance that fans will someday have the option to choose from a slew of items bearing the “Blue Ivy” name (from skin care products and strollers to baby bedding) as Beyonce and Jay-Z’s trademark application is still in the works.
Although Jay and Bey’s application has been place on hold by U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (while the office awaits one merchant’s appeal), the office granted “Blue Ivy” trademark rights to a Boston wedding planner last week.
But don’t worry…should Jay and Bey’s application be approved at a later date, they won’t conflict with the wedding company and their products aren’t in the same field.
