Will Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes reunite with TLC next year as a hologram?

The surviving bandmates are reportedly thinking seriously about utilizing the technology that resurrected Tupac on stage to bring back Left Eye for upcoming performances surrounding a planned biopic.

“The hologram is something we talked about and thought about years ago, obviously timing is everything but we’re definitely talking about it,” Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas told the Metro newspaper.

Lopes was killed in a car crash in 2002 at age 30. Her death is still painful for Chilli and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins to think about but the idea of having a holographic Left-Eye on stage with them is something they may well embrace, when they release their biopic next year.

“It will be hard on us but I certainly think our fans would love to see it,” said Chilli. “We would definitely be the first group to ever do it… I think we would probably pass out and all of our fans would break down but it’s amazing how real the hologram looks, it’s almost like you can touch the person. It’s great but spooky at the same time but we’re definitely thinking about it.”

TLC were awarded an “outstanding contribution to music” award at this year’s MOBOs [UK’s Music of Black Origin Awards] and were introduced by new band Stooshe, who recently covered one of their biggest hits, “Waterfalls.” Talking about next year’s biopic, Chilli said “We are so honored to have the opportunity to tell our story and let people see our journey.”
