Michael Jordan’s Fiancé Signs Prenup

Basketball legend Michael Jordan may be blissfully in love but he’s not letting it interfere with his money — at least not this time around.

According to reports, the ex-NBA superstar has allegedly protected his $650 million fortune by making his fiancée, Yvette Prieto, sign a prenuptial agreement.

The lovebirds, who are scheduled to say “I do” on April 27, have supposedly agreed to keep whatever assets they each bring to the marriage. In case of a split, Yvette will walk away with $1 million for each year of marriage, and if the divorce happens after 10 years, she will get a whopping $5 million for year they stayed together.

It looks like Jordan has learned a thing or two from his first marriage to Juanita Vanoy. The former couple tied the knot in 1989 and filed for divorce in 2002. Vanoy walked away with custody of their three children, their Chicago home and $168 million.

1. Kandi Burruss & Todd Tucker

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss has been every vocal about her belief in prenuptial agreements, and now that she’s newly engaged she says it’s mandatory for her marriage.”I do believe in pre-nups,” she wrote on her Bravo TV blog. “I know that some people feel if you are truly in love and are planning to be dedicated to your marriage that a pre-nup somehow means the person requesting the pre-nup is expecting the marriage to fail. I don’t agree. I feel like it’s a safety precaution. Just like if you have a fire extinguisher in your home it doesn’t mean you expect it to burn down, but you’re just prepared to put out the fire before it starts if need be.”

2. Jay-Z & Beyonce

In 2010, Beyonce admitted that she and Jay-Z both signed on the dotted line.  In an interview with German magazine Neon she said, “I do not deny that there is a marriage contract. I would encourage any woman getting married to put on such a treaty, it will gain more influence on self-esteem. For details, I don’t express myself . I am not here on trial.”

3. Lamar Odom & Khloe Kardashian Odom

Reality star Khloe Kardashian Odom included $5,000 a month shopping budget in her prenup with husband Lamar Odom. If the lovebirds were to ever split, she gets a shopping allowance, $1,000 a month beauty budget and season courtside tickets for the Lakers.

4. Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel

According to reports, Jessica included a fidelity clause in her prenuptial agreement with husband Justin Timberlake. It states that she will get at least $500,000 if he is ever unfaithful.
