It’s always something with Rick Ross. The Maybach Music leader was hit with a lawsuit after a fight broke out at a New York City hotspot on his birthday in 2011.

As the story goes, Rick Ross and a host of his friends and family went out to a club in New York City called Umbrella. Naturally, Ross had his security team with him. During the birthday celebration, a fight broke out and two men named Jeison Soto and Edward Soto allege they were assaulted by Rick Ross’ security team and employees of Umbrella. According to the court documents, the Sotos claim they suffered “multiple bodily injuries.” The victims are placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of Rick Ross because they say he failed to properly train his security staff and then started the fight in the club.

In case you’re wondering, this lawsuit isn’t just being brought on. The two alleged victims claim they originally drafted the lawsuit back in December 2012. Rick Ross hasn’t responded to a summons he was sent.

Once Rick Ross handles his business with this lawsuit, he might want to think about celebrating his birthday in private. In 2011, he got into a club fight. Last year, Ross crashed his luxury vehicle because he was dodging a group of men shooting at his car.
