East Tech boys basketball blew a 20-point lead but was able to recover in time, as it held off Glenville for a 73-67 win in the Senate Athletic League title game on Friday at John Adams.

After briefly trailing 67-66, senior Anthony Carmon hit four free throws and sophomore Markell Johnson had a steal and dunk in the final minute to put the game away for East Tech (16-3).

But that’s not all!

Same teams, same result as East Tech girls basketball defended its Senate Athletic League title with a 59-37 victory over Glenville on Friday.

East Tech earned a 68-40 win over Glenville in last year’s Senate Athletic League championship. This is the first time the program has won back-to-back league titles since it won six in a row from 1998 to 2003.
