Only 7 more months until the return of Gucci Mane.

This past Friday (Feb. 12) was Gucci Mane‘s birthday, and while there were plenty of tributes to go around, the real good news for Wop fans comes tonight, as it has just been discovered that Gucci is set to be released from prison in September of this year — if the database of the Federal Bureau of Prisons is to be trusted, that is.

Gucci is currently trapped in a high-security federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, serving a sentence for weapons charges he pled guilty to in May 2014. Today, journalist Neil Martinez-Belkin searched the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate locator system and discovered that Gucci’s release date is currently set for September 20, 2016.

At the beginning of the year, GuWop’s label, 1017 Records, announced that he would be released from the pen in March. A little over a week later, the label retracted the hopeful news and didn’t provide an alternate time frame for Gucci’s release.

About a year ago, 1017 went on Twitter to share Gucci’s inmate information, including his mailing address, to his fans. In addition to his address, the same tweet listed a future release date of March 17, 2017 next to Gucci’s name, Radric Davis.
