Lupe originally planned to drop three albums in 2016.
2016 was supposed to be a big year for Lupe Fiasco. In April, the Chicago veteran announced his intentions to release three albums within the calendar year: DROGAS, DROGAS light*, and SKULLS. It appears that he won’t be releasing any of these albums between now and January. On Sunday, he took to Twitter to let fans that know that he will likely wait until 2017 and beyond to release new music.
“It’s a strong chance you wont get any new Lupe albums this year,” he wrote. “Sorry y’all. I tried 2 make it happen but best laid plans make a mess made.”
