August 4th is National Chocolate Chip Day, the cookie that has been around since 1938.
According to National Calendar Day.com the first chip was mad by accident in Massachusetts, by Ruth Graves.
So who knew chocolate chip cookies would be so famous, after a bunch of chocolate being thrown into cookie dough would turn into a chocolate cookie!
Nestle reached out to the woman Ruth Graves who made the cookie on accident, and wanted her recipe, since then the cookie has took off to a number of varieties.
