LOS ANGELES – With celebrities used to being on the receiving end of blog gossip, Grammy winner Alicia Keys is the latest star to launch her own Web site, IAmASuperWoman.com.
Turning the tables on the Perez Hilton’s and Just Jared’s of the world, Keys is joining the likes of Tyra Banks ( Tyra.com ) and Gwyneth Paltrow ( GOOP ) with her own Web site.
The 29-year-old songstress is creating content in a unique way that she doesn’t “think exists yet in the blog world,” according to JustJared.com .
USAToday.com reports that on Tuesday, Keys launched a search for the right “super woman” to take on a head blogger position to help her “express a point of view … in a fun, inspiring online neighborhood for super women to check in with what other super women are thinking, doing, feeling, working on, eating, buying, wearing and laughing about.”
Enlisting Monster.com Keys’ ad reads: “ATTENTION: Public Relations Rock Stars, Bloggers & Social Media Moguls! — Work for Alicia Keys!”
The “Empire State of Mind” singer says she wants to create discussion on the things that matter to the modern super woman.
So if you think you are just the diva Keys is looking for on her new project, be sure to get your resumes in before the May 3 deadline.
The job posting says three final candidates will be flown to the UK Black Ball in London where Keys will interview them on May 27, and the selected head blogger will be announced on national television the week of June 21.
“By July, one of you are going to start a brand new career. It’s gonna be crazy ,” she said in a video on her new site. “Believe it! Spread the word.”
Or, if you are simply a fan of Keys and a fellow super woman, stay tuned for the blog launch in July.
