Lil D

“I never wanted to do radio.” This is what lilD tells people when asked how she started in broadcasting. The contrary couldn’t be truer today, though. Winning radio rap contests landed her a co-host gig on the night show in Shreveport, LA, at KMJJ in 2005. In 2008, she accepted the night position in Toledo, Ohio, at WJZE Hot 97-3. 2011 saw lilD take her talents to Cleveland’s WENZ 107.9, and “Word Eye Heard Radio” was born. Since 2015, lilD has been the top-rated night show host on WCKX Power 107.5/106.3 in Columbus. lilD also hosts events, and volunteers at various community centers. She’s also a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. But what she’s is most proud of is her organization, You Go G.I.R.L. (Grinding In Real Life). You Go G.I.R.L. is dedicated to helping good girls become great women, and she accomplishes that mission through annual events, community clean-ups, and awareness on her website. With her down-to-earth personality, and “keep-it-real” attitude, lilD naturally attracts the target audience. And wherever she chooses to go, success will follow.
