Where are all the Outkast fans at? More specifically — Andre 3000! It’s been a MINUTE since he’s graced us with new music. But he’s making a comeback and it isn’t what you might expect from 3 Stacks who said this about rapping:
“in these times, it just comes harder for me to do it and I don’t know why . . . I have songs but it’s not like rap things that I really feel happy about sharing. And really, that’s the most important part. I have to feel happy about sharing it. That’s why ‘New Blue Sun’ was something that I realized, whoa, I really want people to hear it.” (source)
So what will New Blue Sun sound like if it isn’t rap? Flutes! Almost 2 decades later and Dre will be giving us contrabass flute, Mayan flutes, bamboo flutes plus other digital wind instruments. As far as song titles — “I swear, I Really Wanted To Make A ‘Rap’ Album But This Is Literally The Way The Wind Blew Me This Time” pretty much sums up the project if you ask me!
Definitely explains why the latest sightings of Andre 3000 have been him toting his flute happily in hand without a care in the world!
