If you haven’t heard the news. . .a lot of people are tossin out their “Aunt Jemima” pancake mix|syrup and more! With so many pushing for change. . .Companies are taking a stance by doing over and doing away with a lot! The infamous aunt and the racial stereotype behind her name had to go! Quaker really could have re-imaged their brands a long time ago considering it’s been around 130 years! Over the years tho. . .the brands image has changed
some but it was always stereotypical and Quaker Oats was definitely accused of maintaining those stereotypes.
Needless to say. . .Quaker Oats announced they are changing the name and image of the brand “
to make progress towards racial equality.”
Many are now wondering what’s up with “Uncle Ben’s” and “Cream of Wheat” too? Do you think they need to change the image on those as well?
