The latest Facebook trend has turned deadly. Australian investigators say 20 year old Acton Beale died after falling from a high-rise balcony.
Police say he was trying to “plank” on the balcony railing and lost his balance. “Planking” involves having a picture taken of a fool daredevil lying in an unusual location which is usually high off the ground.
One Facebook planking group has 127,000 fans, and the Australia group has announced May 25th as the inaugural annual Planking Day.
