During Oprah’s awesome interview with Rihanna on the latest edition of Oprah’s Next Chapter, fans of Mother O took to Twitter to suggest names of future interviewees.
Some of my favorites were Khia, Joseline Hernandez, and 2 Chainz (thank you, Kid Fury), but the larger consensus focused on stars like Beyoncé and Lauryn Hill.
I mean, I suppose that makes sense even if less fun. However, proving yet again that Mother O knows all, she told folks on Twitter that she’s already tried both and each said no.
On the Queen Bey, Oprah said, “TRYiiinnng.” In a separate tweet she acknowledged that she’s tried but unsuccessfully thus far.
As for Uncle Sam’s rapping arch-nemesis, “tried. She said no.”
I imagine that once Beyoncé has a new album to plug she’ll be more than ready to talk music and diaper changing with Oprah. Lauryn will likely not happen, though. L-Boogie would try to spit some pedantic nonsense and Oprah would have to hit her back with the, “Nah.”
But you know, keep hope alive.
