YG is finally gearing up for the release of his debut album, My Krazy Life, four years after his hit “Toot It and Boot It” hit the streets. However, he’s said several times he never really liked the song.

In a recent interview with HipHopDX, the Compton rapper explained why.

“The ‘Toot It & Boot It’ record, I f***ed with the record, but at the time, I didn’t take my time with that sh** because the homies did that record,” YG explained. “[Ty Dolla $ign and DJ Mustard] gave me that record. They wrote that sh**. They called me to the studio and told me they had a song for me. I was f***ing with it, but I ain’t really know because it wasn’t like the sh** that I was recording at that time. So I did the record, but when I did the record I ain’t take my time on my verses. I was just rapping. That’s why I don’t like the record, because of my verses. But the hook, the content is the sh**. That’s real n**** sh**. N****s probably won’t tell you no sh** like that. I’m giving it to you raw and uncut.”
