Nike has a few silhouettes that make use of a kente cloth-styled pattern along its upper and while it is a tangible throwback to the ’90s it is also a look with a lineage built squarely in the inner city. With that in mind this “Urban Jungle Gym” colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Low should evoke images of both streetballers and ballers around the world.
The resulting Nike Air Force 1 gets a jet black nubuck upper with kente detailing on the swoosh and tongue tag while a multicolor peace sign crosses color lines on the heel tab. The sneaker also gets a green lining while a black outsole helps to establish a sense of tonality as well.
If you are a fan of the Martin Show logo or those African American College Alliance sweatshirts these kicks are probably in your “must buy” queue. Unfortunately there is no release date set however they should be hitting retailers sometime soon.
