Kanye West

Kanye West started 2016 off with a new single, but some aren’t too happy about the shots he fired.

On his new track “Facts,” ‘Ye didn’t hold back, calling out athletic brand Nike, which has been producing Michael Jordan kicks since 1984. The Chicago rapper references FutureDrake‘s club banger “Jumpman,” saying “Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman.” Yeezy’s bold lyric about Jumpman did not sit too well with many, including Michael’s son.

Kanye didn’t stop there. He went so far as to say the iconic shoe brand treats their workers like slaves: “Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves/Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away (Yo!).” After catching wind of the lyrics, Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan expressed his thoughts on Yeezy’s new track via Twitter, blatantly laughing at the lyrics.

Marcus then followed up with a tweet featuring a GIF of his father, who was laughing as well. We have to admit – Marcus started off 2016’s clapback season on a funny note. Thoughts?
