PHILADELPHIA, PA – Meek Mill has officially filed documents requesting his release from prison, according to TMZ.
The publication reports that within the new documents – which were filed in his home state of Pennsylvania on Wednesday (November 15) – Meek’s legal team argues that his two-to-four-year prison sentence is the result of a vendetta against him by Judge Genece Brinkley.
Meek Mill’s lawyers also argue that the two incidents Brinkley says constituted his probation violation – misdemeanor assault and driving recklessly – were dismissed charges and had already been dropped. The documents also reportedly cite Meek’s probation officer testifying that the rapper had shown progress.
