21 Savage has been through a lot of over the past year and it appears that he’s still going through it!! Now, it appears that ICE may just be derailing his career. From not being able to obtain a work permit until recently to being banned from leaving the country for touring purposes; it seems as though 21 Savage is still having a tough time continuing his work as an artist. The Rap Up reports:

“21 Savage remains a prisoner of America’s immigration system.

Nine months after being released from ICE custody, the rapper is still unable to leave the country and his career has been severely impaired.”

21 Savage was also hindered in receiving a permit to work in the States. TheRapUp continues:

“According to TMZ, Savage wasn’t able to get a work permit for eight months, which meant he couldn’t work domestically. He finally received a permit last month, so he can work in the U.S., but he won’t be able to travel outside the country until he gets approval from immigration.

And it may take years for a resolution. Savage hasn’t even received a court date yet and Atlanta’s immigration courts are overcrowded with hundreds of backlogged cases. Some people have received court dates for 2022.”

Yikes!! Well, luckily for 21 Savage he’s still a highly sought after artist. His latest feature with Alicia Keys on “Show Me Love” proves that his voice will be heard no matter what!!
