There was a struggle for control of the rich farmland in Mesoamerica.

It consisted of agricultural productivity, with crops like corn, beans, squashes, chili, pepper, and cotton.

The Olmec became the first great civilization to shape the Mesoamerica as a dominate class.

San Lorenzo, the oldest known Olmec centre, or otherwise ancient city in Mexico, is known for its huge monuments, including the colossal heads that go to a height of 9 feet.

They date back to 1150 BCE according to archaeologist.

As the world continued to shift, and time continued to move forward, during the 900-300 BCE period the first writing was produced.

This was done by the  Zapotec people, who had some how gained a high level of growth at Monte Albán, producing the first writing and written calendar in Mesoamerica.
